The primary area of expertise at Kocher Micro is electrical engineering. This encompasses software, analog, and digital design practices which must flawlessly interact in a complete design. A typical design has been realized when the following deliverables are completed:

• Schematic diagram of circuitry.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) outlining all components, assemblies, etc. This is the earliest estimation of total system cost and is key to any further development and cost reduction.
• Printed circuit board (PCB) layout files. These files capture the copper circuit board traces and pads to which the components are soldered.
• Software files. Usually these are written in C, Assembly Language, or Basic.
• Flow charts, user manuals, and additional documentation.
