Electrical Engineering
KMT excels at microcontroller based design solutions. For those who aren't familiar with these devices, microcontrollers are small single-chip computers that are used to deliver complex functionality to electronic circuits. They can be successfully implemented in products with a total circuit cost of around fifty cents, or put to work in high end machinery for a little more.

When a client comes to KMT with a design request, it is often possible to return a finished prototype in about two weeks or less (depending on the complexity of the design). Printed circuit boards are designed by KMT, ordered online, and populated in house using a hot air and solder paste process. Surface mount packages are usually incorporated into the design to save space and cost, with devices as small as 8 pin bare die ball grid arrays having been successfully soldered in house.
